Plumbers will always be needed in the world. We are specialists in all things piping, plumbing, and appliances. When you become a plumber job security is just one of the many perks of the job. Can you imagine if the world stopped using toilets, appliances, or…water? Plumbers will always be needed, and you’ll enjoy learning a new trade.

Get Paid to Learn

Most plumbing jobs, Shamrock included, will teach you your plumbing skills on the job. That means that you don’t have to pay for trade school or college and spend hours in a classroom. Instead you can begin making money immediately, and begin perfecting your craft from the start.

Shamrock does things slightly different. We help you on your path to success by paying for your beginning classes, and once passed, we train you on the job until you are a licensed master plumber. Do you hate being inside class taking notes, or working in an office? Consider learning with us; we’ll provide you with important skills and pay you to do so!

Escape the Office

Working with your hands and moving around is a huge attraction for most of our plumbers. We know you hate working in an office, and you probably also dislike dealing with customers. With plumbing, you’ll enjoy high wages, a friendly, close atmosphere, and job stability, all while traveling and being outside.

Step-by-Step

We already told you that we will pay for and then provide your training to become a licensed plumber. However, in case you were wondering exactly what you’ll need to do in order to become a master, here is a quick guide to a basic plumber’s path.

  1. Apply and interview for a job with Shamrock.
  2. Sign up for your first stage of classes as an apprentice, which we will guide you through.
  3. Pass apprentice level by taking a test.
  4. Begin training with a master plumber as you are now at journeyman level.
  5. Your employer will decide when you can move on to become a master plumber.

This entire process can only take a few years depending on your efforts. We are always happy to train new members, and we always say that we’re only looking for hard workers with positive attitudes. The rest we can teach you!

What Happens Next?

Now that you’re a licensed and experienced plumber, the rest is up to you. As mentioned, plumbing is a lifelong career; a career where you can work with your hands, work with your friends, and continually improve. Many of our plumbers have worked with us for a decade or longer. When you get enough experience, you can even move onto starting your own plumbing company – which is how Shamrock got its start in the first place. Here are just a few of the benefits of working for Shamrock Plumbing specifically:

  • 401k
  • Paid schooling (first level)
  • On-the-job training
  • Paid holidays and accrued PTO
  • Advanced PTO the longer you work with us
  • 90% Insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • And more!
